ISO Standards

ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework and sets the standard, not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general.

All our business and operational processes are developed and implemented to comply with ISO 9001:2008 to help meet your strategic business needs and ensure we deliver real operational advantages.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is the best known standard providing requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). This standard helps us to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted by 3rd parties.

ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management Systems – specifies requirements for setting up and managing an effective Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), minimizing risk.

Both ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 22301 are held by MDS Global Business Operations.

Cyber Essentials Plus

The Cyber Essentials scheme has been developed as part of the UK’s National Cyber Security Programme. Cyber Essentials became a mandatory requirement for all central government contracts advertised after 1 October 2014.

To attain Cyber Essentials, MDS Global was required to identify the enterprise IT systems it believed were at risk from Internet-based threat factors, and then complete a self-assessment questionnaire, which was independently verified by a CREST-accredited 3rd Party assessment body. The scope of the assessment concentrated on boundary firewalls and internet gateways, secure configuration, access control, malware protection, and patch management. MDS Global successfully received the Cyber Essentials Certification at its first attempt with no vulnerabilities being identified from the scan and no additional information being required to validate the self-assessment.

Cyber Essentials PLUS offers a natural progression from the independently verified self-assessment assurance activities implemented as part of the Cyber Essentials Basic. Cyber Essentials PLUS offers a higher level of assurance of an organisation’s cyber security defences through a range of internal and external tests of the organisation’s network and computers.

ITIL is the only consistent and comprehensive documentation of best practice for IT Service Management. Used by many hundreds of organisations around the world, ITIL gives guidance on the provision of quality IT services, and on the requirements needed to support IT. ITIL embodies best practices for IT Service Management

MDS Global invest in training its employees in the core practices of IT Service Management within the ITIL framework allowing for continual improvement and delivery of world class and structured service to its customers and partners. MDS Global adheres to the ITIL framework to standardise the selection, planning, delivery and support of IT services and focuses on aligning IT to provide a world class service to our customers.  It has provided an ongoing framework for us to continually asses the effectiveness of how we deliver our customer requirements and enabled us to deliver ongoing improvements.

The Forum members help shape the future by collaborating with other members on the development of best practices, standards and tools like APIs that support a vibrant and open digital ecosystem.

In December 2015, MDS Global became the first real-time charging and customer experience management provider to be certified by the TM Forum for its managed service.
