Targets

MDS Global recognises the UK’s commitment to the Paris Agreement 1.5oC degrees target, we also support initiatives, such as the Science-based Targets initiative (SBTi).

MDS Global is working with our stakeholders and supply chain to become a carbon net neutral business.


Aims

To ensure we achieve our targets, MDS Global has three key focus areas:

Carbon Reduction

Reduce internal carbon emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2.

All MDS Global infrastructure and services cloud-based by 2025. Embracing renewable energy sources and investing in clean technologies.


Accreditation

Validate our environmental responsibilities with accreditation from the SBTi, though our commitment to combat climate change through ambitious, science-based goals.


Beyond 2030

We are committed to remain carbon neutral beyond compliance by embracing a holistic approach to offsetting and reducing our carbon footprint for 2030 and beyond.


Monitoring

Continuous monitoring is not just a task but allows us to drive positive change and create a sustainable future. Monitoring not only allows MDS Global to stay in compliance with environmental standards, but also allows us to identify areas of improvement

Social

At MDS Global, our commitment to social responsibility is woven into the fabric of our culture. We encourage our workforce to engage in community initiatives, as we strive to make a meaningful and lasting different in the lives of those we support.

MDS Global is a proactive advocate of holistic employee welfare and wellbeing. Below are some examples of our commitments to our employees.

Regular Social Activities

We provide at least three social events during working hours each year to give our colleagues the opportunity to socialise and spend time together outside work.

Activities include Christmas dinners, quizzes, and social darts and we always attempt to accommodate a wide range of preferences and passions, by paying attention to what our people tell us they like to do.

Volunteer Policy

We promote and actively encourage that our colleagues take part in volunteering opportunities and activities in the community.

Part of this promotion involves the sponsorship by the Company of voluntary projects in the community as well as permitting the personal volunteering opportunities by colleagues in other projects.

We are always open to suggestions from colleagues for new volunteering arrangements with charities or other bodies where volunteer work is available.

Local Communities

By embracing inclusivity, our relationship with local communities continues to thrive.

Down Syndrome Ireland

Down Syndrome Ireland provide support and services to people with Down syndrome and their families though a national office and 25 branches across Ireland. They provide an ‘all-through-life’ support to people with Down syndrome and their families with specialists in the areas of health, speech and language, early development, education and adult education and independence, enhancing the lives of thousands of children and adults with Down syndrome across the country.


St. Rocco’s Hospice – England

St Roccos Hospice England offer help as soon as someone is told that they have an illness that is no longer curable. They support patients physically, psychologically and emotionally to enable them to carry on living the lives they want to live for as long as possible.


Charities Trust

A Payroll Giving scheme from Charities Trust is open to all our employees enabling them to donate straight from their pay to any UK registered charity of their choosing.

Governance

At the core of our ESG journey, is a commitment to strong governance. With the support from our senior leadership, MDS Global has a keen focus on regulatory compliance that reflects in our proactive approach to risk management and sustainable business practices. By fostering a culture of integrity it has allowed us to embed the tone for responsible corporate behaviour.

ESG Committee

Our ESG committee is the cornerstone of our Environmental, Social and Governance principles. Comprising of diverse expertise from within MDS Global they meet regularly to advance our ESG initiatives. Part of the function of this committee is to formulate and implement policies that align with regulations, standards and goals.

With a focus on transparency, the ESG committee communicates progress, challenges and key milestones. Through regular reviews our committee ensures our ESG efforts remain dynamic, responsive and align to our vision.

Reporting

Our reporting practices, ensure we provide regular updates detailing our progress, challenges and achievements, from environmental impacts, social responsibility and governance practices, our reporting offers a 360-degree view of our ESG journey.

ISO Certification

At MDS Global our commitment to excellence in Environmental, Social and Governance practices is reinforced by our ISO certification. This international recognised standard underscores our dedication to robust management systems and continual improvement.

Beyond mere certification, ISO serves as a compass guiding our ongoing efforts to operational efficiency, business continuity, risk management and customer satisfaction.
